Poster of Gau Vigyan Pariksha released at Chief Minister's residence

Chhattisgarh State Gau Sanrakshan and Samvardhan Samiti is organizing Gau Vigyan Pariksha for school and college students across Chhattisgarh state. The poster release of this campaign was organized at the Chief Minister’s residence in the presence of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai on the eve of Shri Ganesh Pola festival.

Giving information about the examination, State Convenor Shri Iranna Sapare and State Examination Head Shri Subodh Rathi said that this examination, organised at school and college level, will be held simultaneously across the state on 11 December, Geeta Jayanti. 5 lakh students across the state will appear in this examination. Participants securing first, second and third positions in each category in the examinations will be awarded in the state level Gau Seva Sangam programme organised on 12 January.

He said that the main objective of this event is to awaken the feeling of love for cow among school and college students. Along with this, the present generation has to be made to understand the religious and scientific importance of cow. Today a very large generation is averse to cows, due to which the society is getting averse to cow rearing. As a result of which cows are on the roads. Due to cows coming on the roads, hundreds of road accidents are happening every day, in which not only cows but also humans are dying continuously. The place of cows is the farmer’s house and not the road. Cows can be safe only in the farmer’s house.

He informed that for the next 5 months, a comprehensive public awareness campaign will be run by the organization on all topics related to cow. In this campaign, along with examinations, various events will be organized including exhibitions on the importance of cow, seminars, lectures, Gau Seva Sangam in schools. Through this event, the importance of mother cow will be told to the society by contacting every household in the state. Chief Minister Shri Sai, while sending his best wishes for this campaign, has also requested the people of the state to cooperate in this campaign by joining it as much as possible. On this occasion, a large number of Gausevaks from all over the state were present.
