Chief Minister Shri Sai said on this occasion that the partition of India was not just the partition of the country, it was one of the biggest tragedies in human history. Partition Horrors Memorial Day reminds us how the unity and integrity of India was hurt. The present and future generations will never forget the pain suffered by the generation that suffered the brunt of partition. During the partition of India, people were displaced, there were large scale murders and rapes. People were forced to become refugees after being separated from their roots. No one can forget the painful pictures of the way people migrated under compulsion.

The Chief Minister said that this day also teaches us the need for unity and integrity of the country and to stay united for it. Countries and societies that do not learn from the mistakes committed in history have to suffer great losses. Only those who have faced this tragedy can know how many difficulties and pain people faced during the partition of the country. How many tortures did millions of Hindus suffer due to the partition, thousands and lakhs of murders and rapes took place. All this happened only because of the selfishness of the leaders. They put their selfishness above the country. You all know what the situation is today in Bangladesh, which was formed due to this partition. The whole world is watching what the separatist forces did there.

The Chief Minister said that in our country India, we all have never had any kind of hatred or discrimination on the basis of religion, caste or colour, because we are people who believe in the mantra of Sarve Bhavantu Sukhinah and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam. Remembering the Partition horror today is also important so that we can understand the sting of this horror and learn from history. We need to be cautious of the separatist horror. Chief Minister Shri Sai appealed to the people present and said that we should work to maintain the unity and integrity, sovereignty and harmony of the nation. Keep the country above your self-interest. On this occasion, people who suffered the sting of the Partition horror were honored by the guests.

In his address, National Co-Organization General Secretary Shri Shivprakash said that today’s day tells us that we should not let the mistakes be repeated. The society and country that corrects its past mistakes and adopts future policies, that society and country moves forward. It also teaches us to build a glorious future. We became independent on 15 August 1947, tomorrow we are celebrating the 78th Independence Day. But while the country was immersed in the celebration of independence, on the other hand, the homes of lakhs of families were shattered, a population of 2 lakh to 20 lakh became victims of murder. Crores of people had to be exiled from their own land.

Shri Shivprakash further said that more than 10 thousand people were murdered in Calcutta in one day, British officials have written that when they went for inspection, there was no place to even set foot. When the British realized that they will have to leave India, they hatched a conspiracy and adopted the policy of divide and rule. The partition of India on 14 August 1947 was such a tragedy whose pain is still felt in countless eyes. The division of the country on the basis of religion to fulfill political ambitions pierced the soul of Mother India with the pain of bloodshed, hatred and exile.

Thinker and film actor Shri Mukesh Khanna said that today we are living in Kaliyug, at that time there was ethics, today attacks are made through conspiracies, Jaichand and Mir Jafar open the doors of our forts. When religion came into politics, Pakistan was formed, Hindustan was formed. Today religion has come into politics. The king is for the country, the country is not for the king, this was said by Yudhishthir to Bhishma Pitamah. While telling his life experience, he said that I did not see the partition, my father saw it.

Mr Khanna said that our Sardar brothers had brought their relatives from Pakistan to India in sacks. My father told me about the experience of partition. He told me how this tragedy was faced and what all happened. I want the leader of the country to become Shaktimaan and Bhishma Pitamah but not Dhritarashtra. Remembering the tragedy that happened on the day of partition, he appealed to everyone to ensure their participation in the progress of the country and maintain harmony.

Raipur MP Shri Brijmohan Agrawal while addressing the seminar said that we all celebrate independence on 15th August but the pain of partition suffered a day before will always remain a shocking event. The decision to celebrate Partition Horrors Memorial Day under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi reminds us of all those dark chapters and incidents in which people suffered extremely inhuman tortures during partition, bore the cruel pain of migration, built homes bit by bit with their hard work, were deprived of property, countless people lost their lives. The coordinator of the program Shri Amarjeet Singh Chhabra expressed gratitude to the guests.

Raipur North MLA Mr. Purandar Mishra, Raipur Rural MLA Mr. Motilal Sahu, Regional Organization Minister Mr. Ajay Jamwal, Organization General Secretary Mr. Pawan Sai, State Program Coordinator Mr. Anurag Singhdev, Raipur District President Mr. Jayanti Bhai Patel, Raipur District General Secretary Mr. Ramesh Thakur, Mr. Satyam Duba and other enlightened citizens were present in large numbers at the seminar.
