Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today paid tribute to the forest martyrs by reaching Rajiv Smriti Van in the capital Raipur on the occasion of National Forest Martyrs’ Day. He unveiled the Forest Martyr Memorial in the memory of forest martyrs. All present including Chief Minister Shri Sai observed two minutes of silence and paid tribute to the martyrdom of forest martyrs.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said on this occasion that today is a day full of emotions. We are remembering those brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives while protecting forests, natural resources and wildlife. He said that the martyrdom of forest martyrs reminds us of the importance of environmental protection and our responsibilities to protect it.
On this special occasion, the Chief Minister, Forest Minister and Revenue Minister planted a sapling in the memory of their father.
It is worth noting that the 20th National Forest Martyrs’ Day was organized today in Rajiv Smriti Van in the capital Raipur in memory of forest martyrs.
Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap, Revenue Minister Shri Tankaram Verma, MLA Shri Purandar Mishra, Forest Force Chief Shri V Srinivas Rao, President of All India Forest Officers Federation Shri Satish Mishra, Chairman Shri Digvijay Singh, officials from various states and a large number of forest workers were present in the program
