Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai has paid tribute to the famous poet and writer ‘Padma Bhushan’ Shri Makhanlal Chaturvedi on his death anniversary on January 30. Shri Sai, while recalling the works of Shri Makhanlal Chaturvedi, said that Makhanlal ji awakened the spirit of patriotism in people with his impressive writing and inspired them to actively participate in the freedom struggle. His works show a unique confluence of renunciation, sacrifice and patriotism with love for nature. He wrote ‘Pushp ki Abhilasha’ in the Central Jail of Bilaspur during the freedom struggle, which is a very popular work. Shri Sai said that Makhanlal Chaturvedi ji’s invaluable contribution to literature and the country will always be remembered.
