Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today inaugurated the VY Sairisa Cancer Care Center in the capital Raipur. This center has been jointly established by VY Hospital and Sairisa Health Care Organization at VY Hospital in Kamal Vihar, Raipur. Here, facilities like radiation therapy, cancer surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, target therapy, hormonal therapy, palliative care and nutritional therapy will be provided for the treatment of cancer. Maharashtra Governor Shri Ramesh Bais, Chhattisgarh Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam and Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal also participated in the inauguration program.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while inaugurating the VY Sairisa Cancer Care Centre, said that the establishment of this new institute in Raipur will increase the treatment facilities for cancer patients in the state. Cancer patients will get good treatment with the state-of-the-art facilities available in this centre. He said that many positive steps are being taken by the government in the field of health. Change in people’s lifestyle is the cause of various diseases. In this hospital, which has facilities for treatment of many types of cancer, poor families will be given benefits under the schemes run by the government. Due to availability of generic medicines in the hospital, patients will also get medicines at cheaper rates.

In his address at the program, Chief Minister Shri Sai said that health and medicine are the areas of his interest and priority. As a public representative, he has continuously tried to ensure that good treatment is available to the people at low cost. He said that during his public life, he has provided medical services worth Rs 12 crore to the people in many hospitals including AIIMS.  

Maharashtra Governor Shri Ramesh Bais said in the program that the country will progress only if the number of patients in the country decreases. The increase in the number of cancer patients in Chhattisgarh is a matter of concern. At such a time, the people here will benefit from the establishment of Cancer Center in VY Hospital. Speaker of Chhattisgarh Assembly, Dr. Raman Singh said that the arrangement for free stay of family members accompanying the patients in VY Hospital is praiseworthy. This hospital is operated as a mission. This will help in the treatment of patients not only from Chhattisgarh but also from nearby states.

Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam said in the inauguration program that this is a historic moment for Chhattisgarh. A modern cancer center was inaugurated today for the treatment of serious diseases like cancer. With its opening, the people of the state will get treatment facilities at the local level. Health and Family Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal congratulated and congratulated the Board of Directors and experts of VY Hospital for the establishment of the state-of-the-art Cancer Centre. He said that this hospital has hoisted its flag in the field of medicine by providing better health services. Now modern facilities for cancer treatment will also be available here.

Dr. Purnendu Saxena, Board of Directors of VY Hospital, said that the establishment of Cancer Care Center in VY Hospital will provide relief to cancer victims. This hospital is operational since 2015. With the addition of modern facilities and new medical equipment, patients suffering from various diseases are getting benefits. With the opening of the Cancer Centre, patients of the state will no longer have to go out. Now all types of cancer will be treated in this hospital. Free arrangements have been made in the hospital premises for the family members staying with the patients.
