A meeting was held with the officials of Janjgir-Champa, Sakti and Korba districts and an in-depth review was done of the updated status of the schemes and programmes.
Collector, SP will be responsible for negligence in public interest works

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today conducted an in-depth review of government schemes, construction works and public welfare programmes being run in three districts Janjgir-Champa, Sakti and Korba in a high-level meeting held at the District Panchayat office of Janjgir-Champa district. During the meeting, he expressed displeasure over the delay in approval of roads sanctioned in Janjgir-Champa district in the budget of the last financial year and directed to send the proposal immediately on priority basis.
Chief Minister Shri Sai reached Janjgir-Champa today after visiting Sakti and Korba districts on the first day of the start of the third phase of the state government’s Sushasan Teehar. Where he reviewed the current status of implementation of government schemes and programs by holding a joint meeting of the officials of the three districts.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai said in the meeting that the state government is working to establish good governance in the state with transparency. In this connection, Sushasan Tihar is being celebrated in the state. After completion of two phases of Sushasan Tihar, the third phase has started from today. He said that good work has been done in the last one and a half years but its speed and quality need to be increased further. Collector, SP should do more good work. Officers should visit rural areas as much as possible.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to behave cordially with the general public and public representatives. He asked the officials to discharge their responsibilities with full dedication and honesty. The Chief Minister clearly said in the meeting that negligence in public interest works will not be tolerated and the Collector and SP will be directly responsible for this in the district.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed all the collectors to complete the process of determining the district-wise routes for the effective implementation of the Rural Bus Facility Scheme. He said that this scheme is a big initiative towards providing transport facilities to the villagers. The Chief Minister inquired about the updated status of institutional delivery, sickle cell screening and drinking water supply under Jal Jeevan Mission. He directed that income, caste and residence certificates should be distributed to the students studying in schools as soon as the session begins.
While reviewing the progress of revenue records, ownership scheme, Ayushman Bharat, National Rural Livelihood Mission, Pradhan Mantri Urban Housing Scheme etc., the Chief Minister gave instructions to provide the benefits of beneficiary-oriented schemes to the eligible people.
The Chief Minister directed the Chief Medical and Health Officers to make the general public aware of the use of generic medicines and to motivate doctors to prescribe generic medicines to patients, so that medicines can be obtained at subsidized rates from Jan Aushadhi Kendras. While instructing the Agriculture Department to promote peanut cultivation under crop cycle change, he also reviewed the preparations for fertilizer-seed storage and distribution.
The Chief Minister also expressed concern over the slow progress of 47 thousand houses approved under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana. The lack of masons and centering teams was cited as the main reason by the officials. The Chief Minister directed to find a solution to this problem by training rural youth as masons. Also, he clarified that under the scheme, arrangements for free sand supply have already been made, in which the beneficiaries should not face any kind of problem. The Chief Minister said that in a joint family, there is a hindrance in housing approval if there is no land in the name of married sons. In such a situation, if the father writes a donation letter of just Rs 500, then it can be beneficial.
In the meeting, Finance Minister and Minister in charge of the district, Mr. O.P. Choudhary directed to train the officials by organizing special technical workshops to reach the 10 new public welfare facilities started by the Registration Department to the general public. Chief Minister Mr. Sai finally directed the officials to maintain respectful dialogue with public representatives and common citizens and ensure their active role in building an inclusive and developed future of Chhattisgarh.
MP Smt. Kamlesh Jangde, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Subodh Singh, Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. P. Dayanand, Collectors of the three districts, Superintendents of Police and senior officers of all departments were present in the meeting.
