Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today participated in the honor of ministers and MLAs and the martyrdom day ceremony of Amar Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh organized by the Central Gond Mahasabha Dhamdhagarh at the Kachna Dhurwa Temple complex located on Civil Lines of District Headquarters Durg.
In the ceremony, Chief Minister Shri Sai was honored in the traditional manner by the Gand community by wearing a crown studded with cow horns and presenting him with a bow and arrow. The Chief Minister was also weighed by the society with Motichoor laddus. In the program, Food Minister Mr. Dayal Das Baghel and MLAs Mr. Doman Lal Korsewada, Mr. Gajendra Yadav and Mr. Lalit Chandrakar and President of Central Gand Mahasabha Dhamdhgarh Mr. M.D. Thakur and other officials and people of the society were present in large numbers.
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the ceremony, said that this honor is an honor for all of you. With the confidence with which the Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi has entrusted me with the responsibility of serving the people of the state, I hope that I will be successful in discharging this responsibility with the support of the society. He said that the state government has started fulfilling the guarantee of Prime Minister Modi ji. In this series, it has been decided to sanction 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana to the poor of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. On the occasion of Good Governance Day, Rs 3716 crore has been transferred to the accounts of farmers as outstanding bonus amount of paddy for the last year 2014-15 and 2015-16. Tendu leaves will be purchased from tendu leaf collectors living in forest areas at Rs 5,500 per standard bag.
The Chief Minister said that as per the guarantee of Modi ji, the state government is going to give Rs 1,000 per month to eligible married women from next month under Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in accordance with public faith, Lord Shri Ramlala was consecrated by the Prime Minister in Ayodhya on 22nd January after 500 years. Keeping in mind the faith of the people of the state, the government is going to implement Ramlala Darshan Scheme soon. On the demand of Gond community officials, Chief Minister Shri Sai announced Rs 50 lakh for construction of additional room in Gondwana Bhawan Durg and Rs 25 lakh for installing the statue of tribal folk hero Birsa Munda at Rajendra Park Chowk in Durg city. In Modi ji’s guarantee, farmers have been promised the purchase of paddy at the rate of 21 quintals per acre and Rs 3100 per quintal. At present support price has been paid to the farmers. A provision of Rs 10 thousand crore has been made in the main budget to pay the difference amount. The difference amount will be paid to the farmers soon.
It is noteworthy that Birsa Munda was a great Indian freedom fighter and social reformer. He was born in Banga village of Jharkhand. His stories of bravery are indelible marks in Indian history. He fought against the British and protected the rights of tribal communities. Established tribal organizations and worked to make people aware. Birsa Munda’s life is an inspiration for all of us, which shows us that a struggling person can face any impossible challenge. He will always be remembered, he was born in a Gond tribal family. Birsa Munda fought to free the people from the dictatorship and oppression of the British. His inspiring thoughts and revolutionary works continue to serve as guidance for us even today.
Before attending the function, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai paid homage to the statue of Gondwana heroine Maharani Durgavati by garlanding it at Civil Line Chowk. At the venue of the program, he worshiped Goddess Kali in the Kali temple and took blessings for the prosperity of the people of the state.
