Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, in the Jan Darshan program organized at his residential office in the capital Raipur today, approved immediate financial assistance to patients for treatment, and also provided motorized tricycles, walkers and other assistive devices to the handicapped. Thousands of people from all age groups and societies from various areas of the state had come to meet the Chief Minister with their problems and demands in the Jan Darshan program. The Jan Darshan program started at 12 noon and continued till 7 pm. During this program, Chief Minister Shri Sai listened to the problems and demands of all the people one by one with great attention and gave instructions for their solution.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai presented a cheque of one lakh rupees for the treatment of Usha Thakur of Aamapara, Raipur, who is suffering from oral cancer, who had come with an application for help for her treatment in the Jan Darshan programme. The Chief Minister presented a cheque of 25 thousand rupees for the treatment of the 8-year-old ailing son of Roshan Sahu, a resident of Gudhiyari, Raipur, and a cheque of 15 thousand rupees to handicapped artist Vivek Bhosale for purchasing a musical instrument. In the Jan Darshan programme, the Chief Minister presented motorized tricycles to handicapped Rajuram Wacham and Lilashankar Sahu, a wheelchair to Mohammad Rasheed Qureshi, L-Bow crèche to Indrasen Goswami and a walker to Vivek Sharma.

   Special arrangements for seating and snacks for the people coming for Jandarshan were made in compliance with the instructions of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai. The entry of people in the Chief Minister’s residence office was also kept smooth so that people do not face any kind of problem. Arrangements have also been made for health checkup of people through mobile medical unit at the venue.

   Vinod Kumar Lakra, a resident of village Kadelkachar of Jashpur district, met Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai in the Jandarshan program and informed him about the pending case of road construction from Junadih to Barkani and requested him to start the road construction. Villagers of village Maldi of Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district have demanded from the Chief Minister to protect the reservoir area of ​​the village from encroachment and take action against the people involved in it. The villagers demanded from the Chief Minister to protect this reservoir as well as supply water for irrigation to the farmers from it as before. The Chief Minister assured the villagers of appropriate action by getting this matter investigated. On the complaint of absence of doctor in Bilaigarh Community Health Center and mere formality in the name of treatment, the Chief Minister directed the Collector to take effective action.

   In the Jan Darshan programme, visually impaired Kumari Rupavarsha from Jashpur requested for an Orbit Reader device to overcome her difficulty in reading. 45-year-old Durgesh Nandini Rathore, a resident of Kharsia in Raigarh district, demanded from the Chief Minister to lease out land for vegetable garden and fish farming. In this regard, the Chief Minister directed the Raigarh Collector to take appropriate action. On the application of Shri Sagar Dewangan, a resident of Durg, who lost his left hand in an accident, the Chief Minister directed the Social Welfare Department officials to provide him with an artificial hand free of cost.

Chief Minister encouraged girl players

   Chain Kumari Nishad of Mahasamund and Ranjita Khalko of Raipur, who won bronze medals in the Asian Cup Beach Woodball Championship held in South Korea from 25-30 August, also reached the Jandarshan program to meet the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister called both the players near him on the stage and encouraged them and also took photos with them.
