Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that like every year, on the occasion of Pora Tihar, we invite our sisters to our residence. You all came with great enthusiasm, best wishes to all of you on Teeja Pora Tihar.
Whatever guests come to the state, their perception about women has changed, the women of Chhattisgarh are aware and actively participate in all the activities. Therefore, when you see all the schemes of the state, you will find that they have been made keeping women at the center. Chhattisgarh government has sent approximately Rs 1 lakh 75 thousand crore directly into the accounts of the people of the state through schemes like Kisan Nyay Yojana, Labor Welfare Scheme, Godhan Nyay Yojana.
He said that on the occasion of Teeja, it is believed that it rains when women go to their maternal homes. You see that it has been raining well for the last two-three days. In the last 5 years, our people and you sisters have not faced any famine.
The Chief Minister said that we have recently issued instructions that those who commit crimes against women will not get government jobs. We have increased the respect of women in the state.
The Chief Minister said that for the first time in Chhattisgarh, a government English school has been opened, where children from poor families have got the opportunity to study in English medium. Our continuous effort is to make all people financially prosperous. He said that today women are not only managing the house but are also managing the front. Women go in search operation. A troupe has been formed which is carrying out this work very well.
