Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel paid tribute to hockey magician Major Dhyanchand by paying floral tributes at his residence office on the occasion of Sports Day today. On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Baghel said that Major Dhyan Chand has made the country proud due to his excellent sports. During his time, India saw the golden era of hockey. The ability to score in Dhyan Chand was amazing. During his time, India won gold medals in the 1928, 1932 and 1936 Olympics. Taking inspiration from him, even today the hockey players are illuminating the name of the country by performing their best. Significantly, the birthday of hockey magician Major Dhyan Chand is celebrated as Sports Day.
