Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today participated in the program of Chhattisgarhi Brahmin Vikas Parishad organized at Science College premises, Bilaspur. During this, he laid the foundation stone of the multipurpose complex of Chhattisgarhi Brahmin community in Bilaspur city. Besides, inaugurated the building upgradation work of Swami Atmanand Government English Medium College, Bilaspur at a cost of Rs 1 crore 85 lakh and inaugurated a new government college in Beltara. On this occasion, Mr. Baghel honored 60 senior people and young talents of Vipra Samaj by presenting them shawls and quinces on behalf of the society. The Chief Minister also released the social and cultural magazine Saryu Dwij published by the Brahmin community. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey presided over this program organized by Chhattisgarhi Brahmin Development Council.
Addressing the program, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that every society needs a building for various arrangements including social work and children’s education, many societies are not able to build their own social buildings despite being prosperous. Keeping this in mind, our government has allotted land to all the societies of the state at the district and state level. In the last five years, we worked with the aim of promoting Chhattisgarhia culture and folk tradition. Due to this, the festivals, food and ancient sports here have got a new identity. Today the importance of the villages of the state is increasing. Earlier villages were known only for farming, now our villages are becoming culturally, economically and intellectually strong.
Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey thanked the Chief Minister for giving land to the Brahmin community in the state court. He said that the Brahmin community of Chhattisgarh has led many major movements in the state. The Brahmin community has done the work of showing knowledge and path to the people of other communities. Due to the efforts of giving special priority to agriculture under the leadership of the Chief Minister, migration in the villages has stopped today. Now people from the city are starting to come towards the village. Advisor to the Chief Minister, Shri Pradeep Sharma said that the culture and folk traditions of Chhattisgarh were being left behind, which the Chief Minister has done to save by giving them a new identity. State President of Chhattisgarhi Brahmin Samaj, Shri Pradeep Shukla also addressed the program and gave the welcome speech.

Mr. Ramsharan Yadav, District Panchayat President Mr. Arun Singh Chauhan, Chairman of Tourism Board Mr. Atal Srivastava, Chairman of District Cooperative Bank Mr. Pramod Nayak, Mandi President Mr. Rajendra Shukla, Chairman of Apex Bank Mr. Baijnath Chandrakar, Chairman of Raipur Municipal Corporation Mr. Pramod Dubey, Vice Chairman of Arpa Basin Authority, Mr. Abhay Narayan Rai, Mr. Vijay Kesharwani, other public representatives and distinguished citizens of the society were present.
