Raipur, 24 October 2021. Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has declared a public holiday in the state on the occasion of Shakambhari Jayanti-Cher-Chhera Punni. On the demand of the office-bearers of Chhattisgarh Marar Patel Federation, the Chief Minister decided to abolish the fees in the rural markets of the state, to give the status of cabinet minister to the chairman of Shakambhari Board, for the construction of community buildings in the areas dominated by the people of Marar Patel community. He also announced to sanction land and amount from the government at a concessional rate. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel was addressing the social integration, oath taking and felicitation ceremony organized by Chhattisgarh Marar Patel Federation at Late Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in Budha Talab, Raipur today.

On the demand of the state’s rural market to abolish fees, give the status of cabinet minister to the chairman of Shakambhari board, for the construction of community buildings in areas dominated by the people of Marar Patel community.
The Chief Minister also announced to make available government land located on the banks of the drain in rural areas of the state to women self-help groups of Marar community for community garden, shops in markets and markets and giving priority to Marar community in allotment of space. Expressing happiness over the integration of three big fraternities of Marar Patel Samaj of Chhattisgarh state, the Chief Minister said that today is a historic day for Marar Patel Samaj. He congratulated and congratulated the office bearers of Chhattisgarh Marar (Patel) Federation, all the senior people of the society, youth, mothers and sisters who played an important role in the integration of the society. In the presence of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, three major fraternities of Marar Patel community, Hardiya, Kosaria and Bhoira, took a pledge for social integration.

Addressing the function, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel said that the people of Marar Patel community are self-respecting and hardworking soil sons. The Chief Minister said that Marar Patel society is at the forefront of giving women their rights and respect. He said that the Chhattisgarh government is working for the respect and well being of all sections of the society. Eliminating malnutrition, improving education and health is the priority of the government. He said that the Bari development program included under Suraji Gaon Yojana is really for the progress of Marar Patel community. Fruit, flower and vegetable cultivation is being promoted under the Bari Vikas programme. He said that the amount of the third installment of Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana would be released on the occasion of Rajyotsav on November 1.
The Chief Minister honored the officials and members of Marar Samaj of Shakambhari Board and Krishak Kalyan Parishad on behalf of Chhattisgarh Marar Patel Mahasangh in the function. Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Shri Ravindra Choubey said that Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel is fulfilling every promise he made to the people of the state. Referring to the loan waiver of farmers, purchase of paddy on support price, waiver of irrigation tax, he said that the Chhattisgarh government is taking care of the people of all sections of the society.
