State Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel today participated in Vishwakarma Jayanti and launch program organized by Chhattisgarh Sarv Lohar Vishwakarma Samaj at village Jungera in Balod district. Addressing the program, the Chief Minister congratulated the people of the district on Vishwakarma Jayanti. He said that our government first waived the loans to strengthen the economic condition of the farmers, halved the electricity bill up to 400 units. He said that under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, in the year 2020-21, the area from which paddy was sold by the farmer at the minimum support price, if instead of paddy, kharif agriculture including kodo, kutki, ragi, sugarcane, tur, maize, soybean. And if they plant horticulture crops, banana, papaya, then they will be given an input assistance amount of ten thousand rupees per acre. He said that earlier seven types of minor forest produce were purchased on support price, but now 52 types of minor forest produce are being purchased. He gave information about various schemes of the government including Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Promotion Scheme, Rajiv Gandhi Gramin Krishi Bhumiless Mazdoor Yojana.
The Chief Minister said that Swami Atmanand Government Excellent English Medium School has been opened in every development block of the state to improve the level of education. He said that continuous work is being done in the direction of health. He said that under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, cow dung worth more than Rs 100 crore has been purchased in the state so far. More than 60 thousand women preparing vermi compost have got employment and source of income. Urban Administration and Labor Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria while addressing the program said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, continuous work is being done for the development of all sections of the society, for which they are getting the benefit. Parliamentary Secretary and Gundardehi MLA Mr. Kunwar Singh Nishad, MLA Mr. Mohan Markam and Sanjari-Balod MLA Mrs. Sangeeta Sinha also addressed the program and gave detailed information about the welfare schemes of the government.
At the end of the program, Chhattisgarh Sarv Lohar Vishwakarma Samaj honored the Chief Minister with a memento. On this occasion, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Mineral Development Corporation Mr. Girish Devangan, ex-MLA Mr. Bhaiyaram Sinha, President District Panchayat Balod Mrs. Sonadevi Deshlahara and other public representatives, Mr. Lochan Vishwakarma of Chhattisgarh Sarv Lohar Vishwakarma Samaj, Mr. G.R.
