Raipur, 09 August 2021. On the occasion of World Tribal Day, Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel released a coffee table book on special backward tribes of the state prepared by Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRI) in an virtual program organized at his residence today.
In this coffee table book prepared by the Tribal Research and Training Institute, many useful information related to the special backward tribes of Abujhmadia, Baiga, Birhor, Kamar and Pahari Korwa residing in the state of Chhattisgarh has been included. In this coffee table book, information about the population, sex ratio, educational status of these tribes, agencies-cells constituted for their development, landholding in them, forest rights holder families, as well as their socio-cultural and economic aspects like their social structure, Points like village settlement, material culture, economic life, life culture, traditional judicial system and development and change in them have been presented in an attractive manner.
On this occasion, Home Minister Shri Tamradhwaj Sahu, Food Minister Shri Amarjit Bhagat, Scheduled Castes and Tribes Development Minister Dr. Premsai Singh Tekam, Forest Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar, Parliamentary Secretary Shri Dwarkadhish Yadav, Advisor to Chief Minister Shri Rajesh Tiwari, Chief Minister K. Additional Chief Secretary Shri Subrata Sahu, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Chief of Forest Force Shri Rakesh Chaturvedi along with senior administrative officers were present.
