Raipur: Chief Minister released booklet based on culture, archeology and tourism site of Korba district

Raipur, 05 January 2021. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel today released a booklet on information on culture, archeology and tourism sites of Korba district at the Open Theater Satarenga. It has been published by the District Archaeological Museum Korba. The Chief Minister said during this time that not only the archaeological and ancient sites of Korba district, but also become the center of tourism of the people all over the country. The Chief Minister also wished to visit the tourist places of Korba district in future. In this booklet, information about various tourist places of Korba district along with religious places and places of natural beauty is compiled. In the booklet, information about the unseen beautiful natural sites coming under the district has been published in a very attractive manner.
The booklet mentions that Tuman and Chauturgarh, two places in Korba district, have the distinction of being the capital of ancient Chhattisgarh in Kalchuri period. The booklet mentions Shiv Mandir of Pali of the district, Kanaki, Biratrai, Kutesar Nagoi, Bhatikuda, Mauhargarh, Sitamani Cave Temple, Amatikara Kudurmal, Pahargaon, Karrapali, Ghumanidand, Kosagai, Shankargarh (Garhkatra) Garhuparoda, Rajkamma, Lafa, Umreli, Navarhi Dehri etc. Details of ancient sculptures and temples are available at the places. The booklet also contains the details of the Kabirpanthi Sadhana and Samadhi Sthal of Kudurmal, the only preserved monument to preserve the Shiv Mandir of Tuman and Pali and Chauturgarh by the Government of India. The evidences of Shaivism are Shiva temple or their relics in Pali, Tuman, Kanaki, Devphari, Bhatigruda and Biratarai, while the evidence of Shakta religion is Chaiturgarh, Sarvamangala etc. For the protection of them, the District Archaeological Museum has also been constructed under the supervision of the district administration.
