Unemployment Allowance Scheme, initiated under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, is proving to be beneficial for unemployed youth who are pursuing their higher studies and preparing for competitive exams. By availing the scheme’s benefits, unemployed youth are equipping themselves with the required skills and subsequently securing employment, thus becoming financially self-reliant.

Subhadra Minj and Stella Lakda, who reside in Ambikapur, are living in a rented space and focusing on their studies. They are receiving significant assistance through the unemployment allowance, which is helping them with the purchase of books, notebooks, pens, competitive exam materials, and filling out exam forms. They mentioned that they no longer rely on their relatives for financial support. They stated they are utilizing the unemployment allowance to effectively achieve their goals.

Similarly, Umesh Chaudhary, a resident of Lakhanpur, shared that he is utilizing the unemployment allowance to purchase study materials according to his specific needs. This assistance is proving instrumental in supporting his studies and preventing any financial difficulties from hindering his progress.

Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel personally handed out appointment letters to a total of 50 youth of Surguja today, after completion of their training. After receiving the appointment letters, these trained youth expressed their commitment to further enhancing their skills in order to achieve even greater goals in the future.

It is worth mentioning that under the Unemployment Allowance Scheme, 3,760 applicants from Surguja district are eligible for unemployment benefits. A total allowance of Rs 1.42 crore has been disbursed to them so far. Surguja district tops the state in terms of disposing of 92.4 per cent of the unemployment allowance applications.
