Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to Indian freedom fighter and country’s first education minister Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on his birth anniversary. Recalling the contribution of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Shri Baghel said that Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ji has made a big contribution in the improvement of the education system with the establishment of schools, colleges, universities in independent India. In his memory and honour, his birthday 11 November is celebrated as National Education Day.
Shri Baghel has said that the state government is strengthening the education system of Chhattisgarh by following the footsteps of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad ji. Atmanand Schools have been established to provide quality and comfortable environment to the children. Children from poor and remote areas are now getting educational opportunities and resources like English medium schools in cities. In real sense, it is a true tribute to the first education minister of the country.
