Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to hockey magician Major Dhyan Chand on his death anniversary. Recalling the achievements of Major Dhyan Chand and his invaluable contribution to the nation, Mr. Baghel said that Major Dhyan Chand’s dedication towards sports and the spirit of patriotism is inspiring for all of us. India has won three gold medals in the Olympic Games due to the magical game of Major Dhyan Chand. He has been awarded the Padma Bhushan, the country’s third highest civilian award, by the Government of India. The Chief Minister said that Major Dhyan Chand has become the identity of hockey in India with his dedication, love and discipline towards hockey.
