He said that Lala Lajpat Rai was one of the three prominent leaders of the freedom movement Lal-Bal-Pal, also known as Punjab Kesari. Lala ji played an important role in the implementation and promotion of Hindi language in the country. Lala ji’s statement ‘every stick lying on my body will act as a nail in the British government’s coffin’ when he was injured in the lathi-charge during the Simon Commission protest proved to be correct.
