Raipur, 12 February 2022. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to India Nightingale, famous poetess, freedom fighter and first woman Governor of India Late Smt. Sarojini Naidu on her birth anniversary on 13th February. Recalling the achievements of Mrs. Naidu and her invaluable contribution to the country, Mr. Baghel said that Mrs. Sarojini Naidu played a leading role in the Indian freedom struggle. Along with the leadership of many national movements, she also worked to make women aware in small towns. National Women’s Day is celebrated every year on her birth anniversary in her honor and memory. Mrs. Naidu is known worldwide as the Nightingale of India. Mr. Baghel said that the thoughts and values of Mrs. Naidu will always inspire us.
