Chief Minister Bhupesh Badhel has paid homage to the freedom fighter, eloquent thinker and prominent social reformer Shri Balgangadhar Tilak on his death anniversary on August 1. The Chief Minister has said that Mr. Tilak first raised the demand for Purna Swaraj. He made an inspirational announcement of ‘Swaraj is my birthright’. This created awareness among the people about the independence of the country. To organize the public against patriotism and injustice, he started the public Ganesh festival and Shivaji festival. His contribution in the freedom movement of the country will always be unforgettable.
