Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to late Mr. Vamanrao Lakhe on his death anniversary on August 21. Recalling the invaluable contribution of Shri Lakhe in the field of freedom struggle and cooperatives, Mr. Baghel said that through cooperatives in Chhattisgarh, Mr. Lakhe laid a strong foundation for the economic development of lakhs of people including farmers. He established cooperative bank in Raipur, laying the foundation of cooperative in Chhattisgarh. During the national freedom struggle, he made his invaluable contribution for public awareness in Chhattisgarh. Along with the promotion of Khadi, he was also active for the development of education. He remained engaged for the strengthening of cooperative organizations throughout his life. It is the result of his efforts that today the dream of millions of people getting employment and moving forward through cooperatives is coming true
