Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid tribute to immortal freedom fighter Lala Lajpat Rai, known as Punjab Kesari, by offering flowers on his photograph on the occasion of his birth anniversary at his residence office today. Recalling the incomparable contribution of Lala Lajpat Rai in the freedom struggle, the Chief Minister said that Lala ji did not even care about his life while fighting for freedom. He sacrificed his life opposing the British rule. Lala ji had said, ‘Every stick lying on my body will act as a nail in the coffin of the British Government’. Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that Lala ji’s words proved to be true and his martyrdom gave a new direction to the freedom struggle. The country will always be indebted to such a brave immortal sacrifice Lala ji.
