Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has paid tribute to freedom fighters Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak and late Chandrashekhar Azad on their birth anniversary on 23rd July. Recalling their struggle for freedom, Mr. Baghel said that Tilak ji and Azad ji dedicated their entire lives for patriotism and fought for freedom till the last moment. His patriotism inspires people even today.
Mr. Baghel said that Lokmanya Tilak ji started a new era of social harmony by starting Ganesh Utsav in Maharashtra. During the struggle for independence, with slogans like ‘Swaraj is my birthright and I will take it’, he ignited the spirit of freedom in the minds of millions of Indians. Remembering the sacrifice of Shri Chandrashekhar Azad, the Chief Minister said that even today the patriotism of Chandrashekhar Azad fills thousands of youth with patriotism and new energy. Mr. Baghel said that the immortal sacrifice of great men for freedom will always be remembered.
