Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has paid homage to Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of India’s constitution, social reformer and first law and justice minister of independent India, on his birth anniversary on 14 April.
Recalling the contribution of Dr. Ambedkar, Mr. Baghel has said that Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar played a central role in framing the Indian Constitution. As the chairman of the drafting committee formed for the creation of the constitution, he made an important contribution in making India a fully sovereign republic. He made many provisions in the constitution for the upliftment of weaker sections, dalits, laborers and women. Babasaheb vehemently opposed untouchability, due to which the Indian society could move forward in the direction of social reform. Baba Saheb’s contribution to the country is unforgettable.
