Raipur: Chief Minister observes activities and products conducted in Gothan

Unprecedented reception by villagers in village Kongera

Raipur, 27 January 2021. The Chief Minister of the state,  Bhupesh Baghel, during his stay in Bastar division, reached village Kongera of big Rajpur development block in Kondagaon district, where the villagers gave him an unprecedented welcome. During this time, he observed activities conducted by various self-help groups, including Adarsh ​​Gauthan Kongera. The Chief Minister inspected various products and activities prepared by the groups including goat farming, poultry farming, Dona-Pattal manufacturing center, pulses processing-packaging unit, Godhan Milk Production Center in Gauthan campus. Public representatives were present on the occasion including Public Health Engineering Minister and Minister in-charge of the district, Guru Rudra Kumar, State Excise and Commerce Minister Mr. Kavasi Lakhma, Kondagaon MLA Mr. Mohan Markam, Keshkal MLA Mr. Santram Netam and Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Rajesh Tiwari. .

In the Adarsh ​​Gauthan campus, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel was greeted by women of Bihan group performing floral wreaths and folk dancers with traditional tribal dance of Bastar. He then visited various stalls set up in the Gothan complex. When asked about the activities of the group by the Chief Minister, Chairperson of Amrita Self Help Group Vishrampuri, Smt. Anita Sahu said that there are 12 members in her group who prepare and sell chilli, spices, turmeric, coriander powder. This has given his group a net income of 50 thousand rupees within a year. The Chief Minister congratulated him for the better work.
The Chief Minister then visited the Mushroom Production Unit, in which Smt. Janato Mandavi of Pragati Self Help Group and Smt Premlata Netam of Shitala Self Help Group gave information about the production of astroed mushrooms and their income. After this, the Chief Minister inspected the goat husbandry shed, poultry shed, Godhan milk production center, pulses processing-packaging room and inquired about their activities.

Weighed with Paddy Sacks – During the observation of Adarsh ​​Gauthan Kongera, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was weighed with paddy sacks by placing them in the scales. Local MLA  Santram Netam, representing him as Kisanputra, placed the Chief Minister in one pan with flower-lined scales and the paddy sacks in the other pan. During this, the Chief Minister planted a coconut plant in the Gauthan campus and watered it.

 

Dhenki and Janta brought the memory of the ancient tradition – in Gauthan, rural women were seen running Dhenki and Janta, which the Chief Minister was excited to see. During this time, he said that Dhenki and Janta (rice harvesting and rice grinding equipment) is the ancient tradition of Chhattisgarh, which needs to be preserved. Villagers said that its trend continues in the region even today.
Worshiped the cow and fed it- Chief Minister  Baghel worshiped the cow during the Gauthan inspection and sought blessings for the progress and prosperity of the state by feeding the fodder. He then inspected the Vermi stitches, Vermi compost shed, Kotna etc. built on the other side of Gauthan. Along with this, the Chief Minister also observed the production of vegetables like munga, barbatti, tomato, cabbage etc. in 2.25 acres by Gauri Women Self Help Group and encouraged them for good work. On this occasion, Mr. GR, Commissioner of Bastar Division Churendra, Collector  Pushpendra Meena, SP  Abhishek Tiwari and officers-employees and local public representatives were present.
