Along with the inauguration of the “Diamond Jubilee Celebrations” of the Medical College, the “Chhattisgarh Inter Medical College Table Tennis Competition” will also be inaugurated

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, on September 9 at 11.30 am, under the Diamond Jubilee program of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur Medical College and affiliated Dr. B.R. Ambedkar will perform Bhumi Pujan of the 700-bed Integrated New Hospital building under Memorial Hospital. This building will be constructed at a cost of Rs 325 crore. Deputy Chief Minister and Health and Family Welfare Minister T.S. Singhdev will preside over the program. The Chief Minister will also inaugurate the “Chhattisgarh Inter Medical College Table Tennis Tournament” along with the inauguration of the “Diamond Jubilee Celebrations” of the Medical College.
Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, Lok Sabha MP Mr. Sunil Soni, Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vikas Upadhyay, MLA Mr. Satyanarayan Sharma, Mr. Brijmohan Agarwal, in this program organized in the auditorium of Medical College Raipur. Mr. Kuldeep Juneja, Mayor Raipur Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, Chairman Mr. Pramod Dubey and District Panchayat Raipur President Mrs. Domeshwari Verma will be present in the program as special guests.
As per the wish of the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, with the construction of the integrated new hospital building, modern health related facilities will be available to the people of the state. Keeping in mind the facilities of the patients, all the necessary basic facilities will be made available in this complex. This is a major step of the state government in the direction of providing benefits of state-of-the-art health facilities to the people of the state. With the construction of this hospital, the citizens of the capital will be able to get the facility of a state-of-the-art super specialty hospital.
This 700 bed hospital to be built in Dr. Bhimrao Smriti Chikitsalaya Raipur will have seven floors apart from basement floor, lower ground floor and ground floor. In this hospital, patients will get all the facilities of super specialty hospital. This integrated new hospital building will be constructed in 70 thousand 896 square meters. Provision for fire fighting system, HVAC system, IBMS system etc. has been made in the building. The basement floor of the building will be 8828 square meters, ground floor will be 7500 square meters, first floor to fifth floor will be 7274 square meters, sixth floor with atrium roof structure will be 8728 square meters, seventh floor will be 640.57 square meters. The foundation has been designed in such a way that in future the seventh floor and eighth floor can be developed as per the need.
Medical College Raipur was started on 09 September 1963. This year is the Diamond Jubilee of Medical College Raipur. Along with inaugurating the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Chief Minister Shri Baghel will also inaugurate the Chhattisgarh Inter Medical College Table Tennis Competition. Teams from all the medical colleges of the state and AIIMS Raipur will participate in this inter-medical college competition.
