Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will pay Rs 4 crore 40 lakh to the beneficiaries of the Godhan Nyaya Yojana in a virtual program organized at his residence office today.
Agriculture Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey, Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma and Vinod Verma, Chhattisgarh Mineral Development Corporation Chairman Mr. Girish Dewangan, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrat Sahu, Agriculture Production Commissioner Mr. Kamalpreet Singh and other officers are present.
From April 1 to April 15, the Chief Minister distributed Rs 2 crore 59 lakh to Gothan committees and Rs 75 lakh to women groups in lieu of purchasing 1.30 lakh quintals of cow dung from cattle rearing villagers, farmers and landless people online. 112.34 lakh quintals of cow
dung has been procured in Gothans till April 15, 2023.
Rs 224 crore 68 lakh has been paid to cow dung vendors in lieu of purchased cow dung.
Rs 192 crore 65 lakh has been paid to Gauthan committees and women self-help groups.
Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, about Rs 439 crore 73 lakh has been paid to the beneficiaries in the state.
At present, more than 50 percent Gauthans are self-supporting Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel while addressing the program said that arrangements for
para, water, shade should be ensured in Gothan. In view of the rising heat.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to inspect the Gothans and ensure all the arrangements.
A meeting of Gothan committees should be held.
Green fodder should be arranged for the animals.
The Chief Minister appreciated the contribution of self-supporting Gothans in cow dung procurement.
According to the demand, Gothans should be approved in dependent villages as well.
