Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate ‘Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav’ in Chandkhuri, the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram and the city of Mata Kaushalya, on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya (Akti). A grand and attractive stage is ready for the Kaushalya Mahotsav programme. Cultural programs will be organized by renowned artists of the country including Chhattisgarh in this festival full of faith and devotion.
To enhance the dignity of the festival, country’s famous young classical singer Maithili Thakur and country’s renowned singer Padma Shri Kailash Kher will also perform at Prabhu Shri Ram’s Nanihal Chandkhuri.
Maithili Thakur, famous for classical songs, will perform on the second day of the Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav, while Kailash Kher will perform in front of the audience on April 24, the last day of the Mahotsav. Seeing the importance of Chandkhuri, these two well-known artists of the country have given their consent to come here without losing a moment. On the first day of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav, there will be a performance by Mumbai’s famous bhajan singer Kavita Paudwal and Varanasi’s Vyomesh Shukla, who performed Shakti Puja of Shri Ram.
It is worth mentioning that this year Republic Day has been celebrated by the state government to establish the glory of Mother Kaushalya’s birthplace Chandkhuri on the world stage, promote art, culture and tourism, women empowerment, protection of working artists, promotion and continuous development of art groups. It was announced to celebrate Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav on the occasion of Mata Kaushalya Temple located in Chhattisgarh is the only ancient temple in the whole country.
Tourism Cafe will be inaugurated:
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will also inaugurate the tourism cafe prepared by the Tourism Department in the temple premises on the inauguration of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav. Products of Millets Cafe including Chhattisgarhi cuisine will be available in the tourist cafe.
The Chhattisgarhi culture will be reflected in the stalls of self-help groups,
with the aim of empowering women, the state government has made market available for sale and promotion of goods produced by self-help groups on the occasion of fairs, festivals and other exhibitions etc. going. On the occasion of Mata Kaushalya Mahotsav also, nine stalls have been prepared for sale of items produced by women self-help, where a glimpse of Chhattisgarhi culture will be seen.
