Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will gift 223 development works worth Rs.655 crore to the district during his stay at Mahasamund on August 20, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi. Out of these, 132 works costing Rs 71.08 crore will be inaugurated and Bhumi Pujan and foundation stone laying will be done for 91 works costing Rs 583 crore 92 lakh. In this programme, the Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the construction work of the medical college of Mahasamund to be built at a cost of Rs 322 crore 85 lakh.
Among the works that Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will inaugurate, 33/11 KV power sub-station established at village Ghonch at a cost of Rs. 2.38 crore and Bhulka (Pathiyapal) at a cost of Rs. 1.72 crore, physiotherapy facility built at a cost of Rs. Building, CHC Pithora will inaugurate the blood bank built at a cost of Rs 30 lakh and the Hummer Lab established at a cost of Rs 12 lakh. Under the Chief Minister’s program, works of drinking water scheme of 18 villages have been completed at a cost of Rs 13 crore 64 lakh under Public Health Engineering Department, 65 works of road construction completed at a cost of Rs 27 crore 65 lakh under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, The Public Works Department will also inaugurate the work of construction of 4 high-level bridges which have been completed at a cost of Rs 11 crore 57 lakh under bridge construction. Out of these, 3 on Carmel Nala in Sai-Saraipali approach road.
Similarly, Chief Minister Shri Baghel Chhattisgarh Housing Board three works costing Rs 4.09 crore, Health and Family Welfare Department 6 works costing Rs 2.05 crore, Panchayat and Rural Development Department 17 works costing Rs 1.71 crore, Forest Department will inaugurate 16 works costing Rs 3.73 crore, Electricity Department 2 works costing Rs 4.09 crore and Ayush Department 1 work costing Rs 2.55 crore. In the program, there will also be inauguration of Narva development works including high tech barrier constructed at Narra, Banjari, Surangi Nala Bansula.
Bhumi Pujan will be done for works costing Rs 118.42 crore in urban bodies
In the programme, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel will perform Bhumi Pujan of various works costing Rs 118.42 crore to be started in various urban bodies of the district. These works include works worth Rs 40.08 crore in Nagar Palika Saraipali, Rs 30.80 crore in Nagar Panchayat Basna, Rs 27.62 crore in Nagar Panchayat Pithora. Apart from these, a new bus stand to be built at a cost of Rs 6.40 crore in village Khaira, a football ground in Mahasamund at a cost of Rs 3.43 crore, a central library building at a cost of Rs 6 crore in Mahasamund, Rs 2.37 crore in village Ganjar, in village Sher 2.43 crore, Rs. 2.29 crore in village Pachri, Rs. 2.59 crore in village Kanchanpur and Rs. 2.20 crore in village Kudaribahara. Establishment of power transformer 33/11 KV sub-station, 17. At a cost of Rs 30 crore, he will perform bhoomipujan and foundation stone laying of canals and renovation of Devgaon reservoir and canal lining work and improvement of concrete works. Apart from this, 20 works of Mukhyamantri Gram Sadak Yojana costing Rs 13.52 crore, sewerage treatment plant at Mahasamund Emlibhata costing Rs 1.17 crore will also be bhumi pujan.
