A different scene was seen on the streets of Mathpara in Raipur on Friday, when Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel was seen asking for donations from street to street with a bag in his hand, it was the occasion of Chherchera festival. The Chief Minister roamed the streets for about half an hour and took donations from everyone. Seeing the Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, the residents of Mathpara came out of their houses and put grains, vegetables etc. in his bag as a donation. Small children, women and elders participated enthusiastically in donating. During this, the Chief Minister also presented the amount as donation to the children present there.

On Friday, on the occasion of Chherchera festival, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel reached Dudhadhari Math and visited God and prayed and wished for happiness and prosperity for the people of the state. On this occasion, Mr. Baghel congratulated everyone for Chherchera and said that the festival of Chherchera gives us a big message because on this day donations are given and donations are also taken. Giving charity is a symbol of generosity and taking charity is a symbol of destroying the ego. The amount donated in Chherchera is spent for public welfare.

Cheers to other Teej festivals of Chhattisgarh

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that our government has given holiday on all Teej festivals. We celebrate all the festivals in Chief Minister’s residence, like Teeja, Pora, Hareli and other Teej-festivals of Chhattisgarh are being celebrated with great enthusiasm. He said that farmers produce crops in the field and arrange food for all. All classes including Annadata farmers donate food grains. The Chief Minister said that by the grace of Lord Balaji, there has been a very good yield this year, so far 85 lakh metric tonnes of paddy has been procured, and not a single farmer has complained. All the farmers were also paid immediately. Before the program, the Chief Minister was also weighed with paddy. It is notable that like every year, Chherchera, Punni Mela was organized in Dudhadhari Math premises, in which a large number of people were present to give and receive donations. Rajeshree Mahant Ramsunder Das, President of Gauseva Commission, in the program.
