Raipur, 17 May 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has appreciated the invaluable contribution of Anganwadi workers and assistants for the prevention of corona infection.

He has said that these workers and assistants visited the home on a continuous basis to contact about 25 lakh rural families of the state and motivated them to get vaccinated.

Shri Baghel has said that Anganwadi workers and helpers have always been active as the government’s strength, whether it is a peace period or a disaster. He has done his duties related to the health, education and values ​​of children and women. Their presence in villages is like a bridge through which governance and villagers continue to reach each other.

He has said that Anganwadi workers and helpers have also contributed a lot in prevention of infections in villages under critical conditions of Corona, making people aware of the disease, motivating them to get vaccinated, identifying the infected and the people in contact with them. is. About 42 thousand Anganwadi workers and 18 thousand assistants are performing various duties in Kovid-19 in the state. During this, he identified about 4 lakh 50 thousand cold cough fever patients. These activists, during their home visits, made aware about about 25 lakh rural families in the state regarding vaccination and protection from Kovid-19. He has directly and indirectly assisted in getting vaccines to 25 lakh beneficiaries.
