Retired officers of State Finance Service honored
The Chief Minister appreciated the officers of the Finance Department for good financial management in the difficult times of Kovid-19

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel attended the felicitation ceremony and affection conference of Chhattisgarh Financial Services Officers Association today. The Chief Minister honored the officers of the Finance Department who retired after the year 2015 in a program organized at the auditorium of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Raipur. He also released the souvenir ‘Sunidhi’ of the State Financial Services Officers Association. Finance Department Secretary Mr. Ankit Anand, Treasury and Accounts Director Mr. Neelkanth Tikam, Pension Director Ms. Namrata Gandhi and Special Secretary and Director of Institutional Finance Ms. Sheetal Verma were also present in the program.
Addressing the program as the chief guest, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that there is a deep connection between finance and mind. When the finance is good, the mind is also good. The Finance Department works as an artery for the system of the entire state. The Finance Department allots the amount wherever it is required. The Chief Minister said that the Finance Department is doing a good job in the financial management of the state. The time of Corona crisis was the time of examination for the financial system of the state. Even during that severe crisis, the officers and employees associated with the financial services kept the economy of the state in check. Even when there was an atmosphere of recession all around the country, the economy of Chhattisgarh remained dynamic.
Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that I congratulate the officers who have been honored today. Implementation of the old pension scheme was an old demand of the officers and employees of the state. When we decided to implement it, the central government adopted a non-cooperative attitude on it. Despite this, due to the efficiency of the Finance Department, the old pension scheme has been successfully implemented in the state.
In the program, Finance Department Secretary Mr. Ankit Anand said that the officers of the financial service have an important role in implementing the policies and schemes of the state government. They do financial management by being austere with the guidelines of the government. He congratulated the State Financial Services Officers Association for organizing the felicitation ceremony and affection conference for the senior officers of the department. He hoped that such events will continue to be organized by the Sangh in future also. In the program, the President of the State Financial Services Officers Association, Mr. K.L. Ravi and General Secretary Mr. Sachin Sharma along with other office bearers and officers of the State Financial Service were present in large numbers.
