Raipur, 27 August 2021. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel paid tribute to the great social reformer and educationist Swami Atmanand by garlanding his portrait on the occasion of his death anniversary, at his residence office today. Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Mr. Ravindra Choubey and Forest and Climate Change Minister Shri Mohammad Akbar were also present on the occasion.
Acknowledging the contribution of Swami Atmanand to society, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that his ideals and life values will always inspire us to do public service. It is noteworthy that Chhattisgarh has been the ‘Karmbhoomi’ of Swami Atmanand. He made significant contribution to the society by serving humanity and by promoting education and moral values. Swami Atmanand ji established Narayanpur Ashram for the upliftment of forest dwellers. Following the footsteps of Swami Atmanand, State Government has started Swami Atmanand English Medium School for the education of children from financially weak background.
