Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel visited Mahatma Gandhi Rural Industrial Park (RIPA) at village Akaltari during a meeting in Beltara assembly constituency of Bilaspur district today. The Chief Minister discussed with the women of self-help groups and inquired about the business being run by them.
    The women of the group told the Chief Minister that earlier they did not have any means of livelihood, the market was also not available. He thanked the Chief Minister for making his products available in the market with the help of the state government, for making them available in the exhibition, sea mart, and other haat bazaar and madai melas. Women said that due to this their products are getting good market, their income has also increased. On this occasion, Revenue Minister and in-charge of the district Mr. Jai Singh Agarwal, Advisor to the Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma, along with local public representatives and villagers were present.

Chief Minister Mr. Baghel also came face to face with the women of Narmada Mahila Self Help, who prepare electric bulbs at Akaltari Ripa. The women of this group told that their group has got an order to supply 20 thousand bulbs. Appreciating the women of the group, the Chief Minister said that the women of the group are preparing bulbs of good quality by taking training in non-traditional work. Getting orders for bulb supply from the market is a good sign.
Kusum Nirmalkar and Madhurima Dhiwar, members of this group told that there are 14 members in their group. They do the work of manufacturing bulbs. Earlier she did not know the work of bulb manufacturing. In Gauthan, she is doing the work of manufacturing bulbs by taking training from the trainers. The members of the group told that the group has received a loan of Rs.60 thousand with the help of the government. Purchased a machine worth Rs 10,000 out of the loan amount, then started the work of manufacturing bulbs by purchasing raw material. So far, have sold bulbs worth Rs 80,000. The loan amount of sixty thousand rupees has been repaid to the bank. 20 thousand rupees are deposited in the bank. Apart from this, 25 to 30 thousand bulbs are still available with them. The women told that earlier they could not get much by doing daily wage work. Now they have also started accumulating fixed capital. Funds are withdrawn from the bank and used by the members in times of need, After that again deposit the money back in the bank. In this way, even in need, now we do not have to take loan from any moneylender.
Bamboo craft products are getting good market
    During this, the women of Budhi Mai Self Help Group presented the Chief Minister’s painting made of bamboo para to the Chief Minister. Group member Mrs. Laxmin Bai told that the women of her group have been doing bamboo craft work traditionally. Her husband and family members also cooperate in this work. She herself also does the work of imparting training in bamboo craft. Kamandal, basket, bouquet, table lamp, angle, stand, diwan, hanger, soupa, jhanjri, dustbin etc. are many products made by the women of the group. Laxmin Bai told that earlier also they used to do bamboo craft work but the business could not be done well. Now we are getting good market due to providing market and cooperation by the government, income has increased, Now there is no problem even in teaching children. Laxmin told that a loan of Rs 50 thousand has also been made available to her group by the government. The women of Budhi Mai Self Help Group thanked the Chief Minister for coming to Akaltari and encouraging their business.
Chain link fencing and RCC poles are being constructed in Ripa by the members of Ujjwal Jyoti Mahila Self Help Group and Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club. Phuleshwari, a member of the Ujjwal Mahila Self Help Group, told the Chief Minister that this unit has been set up a month ago, so far 22 quintals of chain link fencing have been manufactured and sold in the market for Rs 1 lakh 76 thousand, due to which we have earned 11 thousand rupees. There is a profit of Rs. Mr. Sukhdev, a member of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club, told that in the last 20 days, he has constructed about 950 pillars and sold them in the market worth Rs 1 lakh 90 thousand. Sukhdev told that orders for 1200 pillars have been received from 4 nearby Gauthans. He has also got an order for 20 quintal chain link fencing in Gauthano.
Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inspected the poultry commercial bleeder-layer unit at Ripa in Akaltari. Priya Dhivar, a member of Unnati Women’s Self Help Group told that in this bleeder unit R.I. R. Different types of chickens and chickens are being reared. Eggs are produced from them. Priya told that RIR type hen gives about 200 eggs in a year while normal hens give 120 to 130 eggs in a year. Priya told that these eggs are sold in the market at the rate of Rs 14 per piece. Priya told that these eggs are kept in the poultry egg incubator from which the chick comes out. And these chicks are sold in the poultry farm.
The Chief Minister inspected the Mini Feed Mill at Akaltari Ripa.
Jyoti Dhivar, a member of Jai Bharat Mahila Self Help Group told the Chief Minister that about 20 days back, with the help of the government, a mini feed mill unit has been set up at a cost of Rs 9 lakh. Jyoti told that animal feed is prepared by mixing corn porridge, wheat porridge, cotton cake, whip cake, calcium and vitamin powder, mustard cake and jaggery syrup etc. in this unit. Jyoti told that we have also got a loan of 5 lakh from the government on zero percent interest to get the material. The manufacturing capacity of this unit is 400 to 1500 quintals per month. Till now we have sold animal feed worth Rs 62 thousand 500 to the nearby cattle rearers, due to which we have benefited Rs 5 thousand. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also inspected the fabrication unit at Akaltari Ripa. Welder Sudarshan told that here the window, door, Gate etc. is prepared. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also visited the training cum exhibition unit in Ripa. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel planted Kadamba sapling in Akaltari Ripa complex.
    The Chief Minister also observed weaving of cloth from Kosa thread, textile products, spice industry, wooden gudi, iron gudi, masala gudi. The women of the group and the people working in Gudi thanked the Chief Minister for providing them space and cooperation. Mr. Baghel also visited the unit for preparing cow dung paint, phenyl here.
