In the instructions issued to the Chief Secretary, the Chief Minister has said that drug addiction is such a serious social evil, due to which the precious life of a person suffers from serious diseases and he also becomes a victim of premature death. Intoxicants like ganja, bhang, zarda gudakhu, tobacco, liquor, gutka, smoking, charas, opium, smack, cocaine and brown sugar are consumed by people for intoxication. The Chhattisgarh Police is continuously taking action on this and the Chhattisgarh government is also trying to stop it, but until we do not connect this campaign with the public and take it to the masses, this campaign will not be successful. The rapid increase in drug addiction among the young generation is a matter of great concern.

In order to save the society from the side effects of drugs, to save the young generation from waste and to use their entire energy in nation building, it is necessary that a big public awareness campaign should be started to get rid of drugs. Seminars should be organized for awareness among the students of higher secondary schools, colleges and universities. Along with government efforts, NGOs Active cooperation of social, cultural and religious institutions should be obtained.
