Health department asked to increase testing of samples daily in all districts, instructions for maximum number of RTPCR tests

In view of the increasing cases of corona in the country and the state, Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has given instructions to be vigilant and make necessary preparations. On his instructions, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain took a high-level meeting of officials at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan) today and reviewed the status of Covid-19 in the state and the arrangements for its prevention and control. In the meeting, DGP Mr. Ashok Juneja, Additional Chief Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Subrata Sahu, Health Department Secretary Mr. Prasanna R. And Inspector General of Police Shri Ajay Yadav also attended.
Chief Secretary Mr. Jain said in the meeting that Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has expressed concern in view of the increasing Covid infection and has given instructions to be extremely vigilant. Mr. Jain asked all the districts to compulsorily follow the guidelines issued by the state and central government for control and prevention of corona infection. He gave necessary instructions to the collectors to follow the Covid protocol seriously and regarding corona testing and vaccination. He asked the Chief Medical and Health Officers of all the districts to keep proper arrangements of oxygen cylinders and other life-saving equipment and medicines for the treatment of Kovid in the hospitals.
In view of the increasing cases of Kovid-19, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu instructed to ensure complete preparation in all hospitals. Along with necessary kits and consumables, adequate medicines, equipment and trained manpower should also be kept ready. Commissioners of all divisions, collectors of all districts, superintendents of police and chief medical and health officers attended the meeting through video conference.
Secretary, Health Department, Mr. Prasanna R. It was informed in the meeting that necessary guidelines have been issued to all the collectors for prevention and prevention of corona infection. All the districts have been instructed to test samples of maximum number of possible corona patients. Samples have been asked to conduct RTPCR tests as far as possible so that samples found positive can be sent for Whole Genome Sequencing. He informed that adequate number of kits and consumables required for testing are available. As per the guidelines of the Central Government, mock drills have been completed in most of the hospitals to test the emergency preparedness. All the collectors have been directed for wide publicity of Covid friendly practices and necessary precautions among the general public.
