Rajuram planted 250 tissue culture teak plants in one acre: estimated income of Rs 24 to 26 lakhs in 12 years

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel, after discussing with the beneficiaries of the Chief Minister’s Tree Estate Scheme, gave them detailed information about the scheme and congratulated them for joining the scheme.

While discussing with the Chief Minister, Mr. Rajuram Usendi of Tuegahan village of Kanker forest division said that today 250 plants of tissue culture teak have been planted in his one acre land. On being asked by the Chief Minister, he told that the Forest Department officials informed that teak trees would be ready in 12 years and they would get an income of Rs 24 to 26 lakh. Mr. Usendi told that earlier he used to plant paddy in his 1 acre of land, in which 3 to 4 quintals of paddy was produced. Regarding irrigation, he told that there is a bore in his field, soon he will arrange for drip irrigation.

Mr. Abhishek Dubey of Balrampur Forest Division Radha Nagar told that he has planted 500 plants of tissue culture teak in 2 acres. Earlier he used to take mustard crop. Mrs. Pramila Singh of Sakholi village of Surguja Forest Division told that she has planted 320 sandalwood plants in 2 acres. Officials told that the climate of Surguja is favorable for sandalwood.

Mr. Mangal Ram Rana of Mangalore village of Bijapur Forest Division told that he has planted 1250 tissue culture teak saplings in 5 acres of vacant land. Similarly, Mohammad Hasim Khan of Amarodi village of Kawardha forest division said that he has planted 550 tissue culture teak plants in 2 acres and Mr. Sukhlal Dhurve of Bokkarkhar said that he has planted 900 cloned Eucalyptus plants in one acre. Mr. Jaleshwar Pali of Rajnavgaon told that he has planted 500 tissue culture teak plants in 2 acres. Dr. Madhariya of Sarona of Raipur Forest Division told that he has planted 1250 tissue culture teak saplings in 7 acres. During the discussion with the Chief Minister, the beneficiaries described this scheme as a good scheme from the point of view of income and environment.
