Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate the state government’s ambitious ‘Mukhya Mantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana’ on the occasion of World Forestry Day on March 21. Under this, the launch program will be organized in the form of a ceremony at one place in every district across the state.

With the aim of promoting commercial plantation by Chief Minister Mr. Baghel, preparations for its implementation are in full swing after the announcement of implementation of ‘Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana’ in Chhattisgarh. In this context, Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain has sent a letter to all the collectors and forest officers of the state, instructing them to ensure necessary preparations for the inauguration program of ‘Mukhyamantri Vriksha Sampada Yojana’ in the district. A large number of general public including local public representatives and departmental officers-employees will participate in the programme.

It is noteworthy that under the ‘Chief Minister Tree Estate Scheme’, all interested landowners of all classes, government, semi-government and autonomous institutions of government, private educational institutions, private trusts, non-government institutions, panchayats and land contract holders can take advantage of this scheme. . Under this scheme, 100 percent financial grant will be provided by the government to the beneficiaries for planting up to 5 acres in the private land of the beneficiary and 50 percent for planting in an area of ​​more than 05 acres.

Through this scheme, a target has been set to plant 15 crore saplings in one lakh 80 thousand acres in a total of 5 years at the rate of 36 thousand acres per year. Minimum purchase price will be fixed every year for the purchase of selected tree species by the government. So that farmers can get fixed income. Increasing production of wood outside the forest area will give a boost to wood-based industries. Along with this, farmers will also get additional income through carbon credits.
