Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the Humar Sughghar Laika campaign today in the “Bharose ka Sammelan” program organized at Sankra in Durg district. In the conference, the weight of a child named Dharam was measured in front of the Chief Minister in the stall of women and child development. Which came in 10 kg 800 grams. The Chief Minister inquired about the health of the child from the present officers and when he found that the child is healthy, he praised the present officers and employees. Seven months ago, this child of Amleshwar used to fall in the category of severe malnutrition. Women and child development officials screened it and gave continuous health related information to the child’s family on the basis of appetite test and provided necessary facilities under the guidance of the doctor to remove the deficiencies found in the screening. Along with this, the child is also getting the facilities available under the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Campaign. So that the child became malnutrition free within 7 months. It was told by the concerned officials of the district that the aim of Hamar Sughghar Laika Abhiyan is to bring 18 hundred malnourished children identified on the basis of the survey list of the district into the category of nourished children soon and started at the district level. This is the first program to be launched in the state. The specialty of this campaign is to manage the growth of children on the basis of appetite test. In this A.N.M. And Mitanin will go door-to-door to test the appetite of children falling in the category of malnutrition. Apart from this, camps will be organized for screening of children. After this, the families of children falling in the category of malnutrition will be made aware like a nutritionist and they will also be given training.
