Raipur: Chief Minister launches Godhan Nyaya Yojana by purchasing 48 kg of cow dung from four farmers

The Chief Minister himself entered the Gobhan Committee’s Gobar Purchase Register: presented the dung sale card to the vendor farmers

Hareli festival celebrated with traditional customs at Chief Minister’s residence

Raipur, 20 July 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel purchased 48 kg of cow dung from four farmers at his residence here on Hareli festival and started the Godhan Nyaya Yojana statewide by paying Rs. 96 each to farmers. These farmers came from village Nawagaon of Abhanpur development block in Raipur district. The Chief Minister purchased cow dung for Jai Chhattisgarh Women’s Self-Help Group of Nawagaon Gowthan Committee from Shri Krishna Kumar Chakradhari, Pilu Ram Dhruv, Sewak Ram Sahu and Shiv Narayan Sahu of Nawagaon. The Chief Minister himself also recorded the quantity of dung purchased in the register of the Gauthan Committee and presented the dung sale card to the dung vendor farmers. The card given to the vendor farmers will record the amount of cow dung they sell daily.

These farmers, who came from Abhanpur at the Chief Minister’s residence, thanked the Chief Minister for starting the ‘Godan Nyaya Yojana’ and said that this scheme is a very good scheme for the farmers and small livestock. Mr. Chakradhari stated that he has five cattle. Every day about one Jhuha used to get dung up to 20 kg, which used to go into the garbage. Now with its sale, thousands of people like us will get benefit from it.
The festival of Hareli was celebrated at the Chief Minister’s residence with traditional customs. There is a tradition in the Hareli festival that farmers and women of their families present their fields and bari vegetables to their cyan people. Jai Dharti Maa Women Self Help Group President Smt. Durga Bai Chakradhari along with Smt. Lakshmi Dhruv, Smt. Aarti Sahu along with women of the group presented vegetables to Chief Minister Mr. Baghel. Gauchi, Ramkelia, Kohda, Barbatti, Karela, Taroi and made a bouquet of Chechabhaji, Patwa Bhaji, Amari Bhaji. The women also presented the corn on their fence to the Chief Minister.
