Raipur : Chief Minister inaugurates Hi-tech Bus Stand worth Rs 3.18 crore in Surajpur

Eight Ticket windows and 49 shops including Police Help Center to be conducted at Bus Stand

Raipur, 15 December 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated Hi-Tech Bus Stand at District Headquarters Surajpur. This Hi-Tech Bus Stand has been newly-built at the cost of Rs 3 crore 18 lakh. Chief Minister said that this new hi-tech bus stand would make it convenient for the passengers to commute. The inaugural programme was presided over by Higher Education minister and In-charge Minister of the District Mr. Umesh Patel. Panchayat and Health Minister Mr. TS Singhdeo, Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia, School Education and Tribal Caste Minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam, Parliamentary Secretary and MLA Bhatgaon Mr. Parasnath Rajwade and Municipal Council Chairman Mr. KK Agrawal were present.
In his address to the programme, Chief Minister Mr. Baghel said that even during the time of crisis, State Government provided employment to labourers under MNREGA on a large scale and implemented various schemes to give land rights to forest dwellers and benefit them from minor forest produce collection, to conserve livestock through gauthan construction, and to provide healthcare facilities to common people in haat-bazaars. At the programme, free hold ‘patta’ was distributed to the beneficiaries of urban area and the ‘key’ to development of the town was handed over to Municipal Council Representatives.

New Bus Stand Equipped with Hi-Tech Facilities
The new hi-tech bus stand has spacious bus yard with the capacity to accommodate 20 buses at a time, eight ticket windows, police help center, inquiry booth, separate toilets for male and female. Ground floor of the new bus stand has 43 shops, and the first floor had six shops. In front of the bus stand, development of a park and parking facility, drainage system, taxi parking, retaining wall has been proposed. Construction of public toilet is also in progress at this bus stand premise.
School Education Minister Dr Premsai Tekam, Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv Kumar Daharia, Health minister Mr. Singhdeo and Higher Education Minister Mr. Umesh Patel also addressed the programme, and spoke about various schemes and initiatives of the state government.
