During his visit to Bastar district today, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai inaugurated three Sub-Divisional Magistrate Offices of Jagdalpur, Tokapal and Lohandiguda constructed at a cost of Rs. 48 lakh each in the new revenue office complex in front of Danteshwari Girls College, and Lohandiguda and Burgum police stations constructed at a cost of Rs. 250 lakh each.

    With the opening of the new subdivision office, about three lakh population of Jagdalpur, about two lakh 65 thousand population of Tokapal and about one lakh population of Lohandiguda will get facility for redressal of revenue cases. Earlier, the SDM office of Jagdalpur was operated in the joint office, similarly the subdivision office of Tokapal and Lohandiguda was operated in the tehsil office premises. The policing system of the area will also benefit from the construction of new police station buildings.  

    The Chief Minister inaugurated the renovation work of the new Tehsil office Jagdalpur at the cost of 66.49 lakh in the revenue office premises. Along with Jagdalpur and Nazul courts, the court of Naib Tehsildar of Fraserpur, Kurundi, Markel has also been established in this tehsil office. Earlier, this tehsil office was being operated in its old building, due to expansion of courts, it has been shifted to the new place due to space problem in the old building and keeping in view the convenience of the public. The old tehsil building is being developed as a heritage ground for the stay of deities and their servants participating in Bastar Dussehra.

    On the occasion of inauguration, Forest Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, MP Bastar Mr. Mahesh Kashyap, Jagdalpur MLA Mr. Kirandev, Chitrakoot MLA Mr. Vinayak Goyal, Mayor Safira Sahu, Commissioner Mr. Doman Singh, IG  Mr. Sundarraj P., Collector Mr. Vijay Dayaram K., Superintendent of Police Mr. Shalabh Sinha and other dignitaries were present.
