Raipur: Chief Minister inaugurated the biggest art gallery of Chhattisgarh in Khairagarh

The biggest art gallery of Chhattisgarh was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of the state, Shri Bhupesh Baghel on 3rd September 2022 at Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, Khairagarh. In this grand and magnificent art gallery of Indira Kala Sangeet Vishwavidyalaya, the artifacts prepared by the students of the university have been kept for exhibition. Excellent artworks created by the students of the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture, Graphics, Craft and Design and Folk Music and Arts of the University have been kept for exhibition. 

After the inauguration of the grand and magnificent art gallery, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and other dignitaries visited the exquisite artefacts here. 

It is noteworthy that on the instructions of the Vice-Chancellor Dr. Chandrakar as per the wishes of Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel, this art gallery was given to the world famous folk painting artist of Surguja district, Late Late Shri. Dedicated to Sonabai Rajwar. The art gallery has been named Sona Bai Rajwar Art Gallery after her.
This art exhibition has been completed under the supervision and guidance of Dr. Yogendra Choubey (Dean, Faculty of Folk Music and Arts), Mr. Venkat Gude, Dr. Ravi Narayan Gupta, Dr. Vikas Chandra, Dr. Chhagendra Usendi, Mr. Sandeep Kindo. The special thing about this art gallery is that the art, culture and tradition of the entire Chhattisgarh can be seen in a single overview.
