Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel said that this state is an agricultural state, 70 to 80 percent people are dependent on agriculture.
Agricultural production has increased tremendously in these four years.
Kodo, Kutki, Ragi are produced in large quantities in Chhattisgarh, especially in tribal areas. The Government of Chhattisgarh has fixed the support price of Kodo and Kutki and has also made arrangements for its purchase.
Bastar Coffee is becoming very popular now, we are not even able to meet its demand.
Earlier farmers in Bastar region used to go to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to harvest chillies. Now the farmers themselves are cultivating chillies in Bastar.
There are immense possibilities for the development of horticulture and forestry in the state.
Chhattisgarh will become a big hub in the field of horticulture and forestry, people from India and abroad will come here for studies
