Railway overbridge is 1168 meters long
Has been prepared with an amount of more than Rs 29 crore

Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the newly constructed railway overbridge at Khokhsa near Janjgir-Champa district headquarters in a virtual program organized at Chief Minister’s residence office this afternoon. On this occasion, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shivkumar Dahria, Food and Culture Minister Mr. Amarjit Bhagat, Ch.G. Chairman of Fishermen Welfare Board Mr. M.R. Nishad was present. Congratulating the people, the Chief Minister said that after a long wait of 10 years, it was inaugurated today. With its construction, people will now be able to travel comfortably. This overbridge will work to connect Champa and Janjgir. It may be noted that with the construction of this railway over bridge on the Howrah-Mumbai rail route passing through the Janjgir-Champa district headquarters, the residents of the region have now got the facility of uninterrupted movement throughout the year. Due to its construction, about 9 to 10 thousand people will not have any problem in commuting to the district collectorate and tehsil office every day. This bridge of length 1168 meters has been constructed with an amount of more than 29 crores.
Virtually associated with the program from Assembly Speaker Dr. Charandas Mahant Janjgir Champa, during this he said that it was approved after a lot of efforts. This bridge is connecting Janjgir and Champa. Together we will make the dream of Garhbo Nava Chhattisgarh come true. Dr. Mahant gave his congratulations and best wishes to the people of the area on the inauguration of the bridge. Leader of Opposition Narayan Chandel, Lok Sabha MP Mr. Guharam Ajgalle extended their congratulations and best wishes to the general public on the occasion of the inauguration of the overbridge.
Pushpa Chandra of Janjgir-Champa district while having a virtual conversation with the Chief Minister said that this overbridge is being inaugurated after 10 years. Due to this, the years old demand of the people of the region has been fulfilled today. Shweta Jaiswal said that this bridge is being inaugurated after waiting for a decade in Janjgir, known as the city of Jajvalya Dev. This is a matter of joy for all the residents of Janjgir. Retired Ayurveda officer Dr. Parasram Sharma said that the people of Chhattisgarh have this belief that Bhupesh is there, and Janjgir-Champa has got a big gift today. This will make the convenience of transportation easy. Ambulance driver Mr. Vijay Thwait said that due to the construction of this overbridge, now the patients had to wait for the closure of the railway gate, now they have got rid of it. Now there will be convenience in bringing patients. We are all grateful to the Chief Minister.
Collector Janjgir-Champa Ms. Richa Prakash Chowdhary and General Manager of Railway Bilaspur Mr. Vikas Kashyap also expressed their views in the programme. On this occasion Ch. Mahant Ramsunder Das, President of the State Cow Service Commission, along with other public representatives and eminent citizens were present.
