Raipur, 24 November 2020. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated the newly constructed Global Chowk and road widening work on the main road to Devendra Nagar in the capital Raipur this evening. He walked around and visited the Chowk and the newly constructed shops and praised the beautification work here. The cost of these works is 3 crores 28 lakhs. On this occasion, the Chief Minister handed over the keys of newly constructed shops to all the 47 shoppers affected by the road widening and gave them hearty congratulations and best wishes.
It is noteworthy that Raipur Smart City Limited has been widened and upgraded by Devendra Nagar Chowk to Expressway to facilitate traffic in Raipur city by the Municipal Corporation and Public Works Department. Road Construction (BT Road) has been done by Public Works Department. 47 shops have been constructed by the Municipal Corporation and Raipur Smart City for shoppers affected by road widening. Apart from this, works like chowk beautification, tree plantation, electrification, drainage and road construction have also been done. Road widening will also relieve the increasing traffic pressure here.
On this occasion, Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu, Agriculture Minister Ravindra Choubey, Urban Administration Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahria, MLAs Kuldeep Juneja, Satyanarayana Sharma, Vikas Upadhyay, Mayor of Municipal Corporation Raipur, Mr. Ejaz Dhebar, Chairman Mr. Pramod Dubey and many public representatives. Councilor of Municipal Corporation, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Subrata Sahu, Raipur Collector Dr. S. Bhartidasan, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Saurabh Kumar were also present.
