Raipur, 15 December 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel today inaugurated the commercial center Garhkaleva for traditional Chhattisgarhi food at Surajpur district headquarters. Mr. Baghel planted a species of Parijat in the Garhkaleva complex. She encouraged the women of the Lakshmi Mahila Sangathan to run Garhkaleva. Other ministers including the Chief Minister enjoyed Chhattisgarhi dishes made in Garhkaleva. Chhattisgarhi food and drink place in Garhkaleva, the general public will get the unique taste of hot and cold drinks including hot cheela, fara, dhuska, bada, bhajiya, salty snacks and sweet snacks, Airasa, Khaja, Thekua, curry laddus and rice, lentils, roti . Different huts have been made to give Garhkaleva a commercial appearance.
You will be able to taste the traditional delicacies prepared by Laxmi Women’s Cluster Organization Surajpur in the one-acre Gadkaleva Center on the banks of the Rihand River adjoining the district headquarters. Breakfast and food will be served in an earthen pot to the people who come to the Gadhakaleva center prepared as a rural environment.
According to the intention of the Chhattisgarh government, the Garhkaleva center has been opened in Surajpur district with the objective of spreading traditional Chhattisgarhi cuisine to a new generation. Rural women self-help groups have been entrusted with the responsibility of operating and the women associated with them will get employment opportunities.
