Raipur : Chief Minister extends best wishes for success of ‘Har Ghar-Ek Ped Abhiyan’ by writing letter to people of Durg district

Saplings of drumstick plant to be planted in schools, ashram-hostels and aanganbadi centers across the state

Plantation in public places, government offices and main roads to be done at large-scale

Raipur, 4 July 2020. Chief Minister Mr. Bhupesh Baghel has has extended best wishes for success of ‘Har Ghar- Ek Ped Abhiyan’, by writing a letter addressing the people of Durg district. Mr. Baghel has stated in the letter that active participation of citizens in this campaign will realize the vision of ‘Hariyar Durg’ soon.

Mr. Baghel has stated in the letter to people of Durg district that ‘One Home-One Tree Campaign’ (Har Ghar-Ek Ped Abhiyan) is being conducted in Durg district for greenery and environment conservation. With the noble intention of preserving nature, this campaign is being conducted in the district on July 6. From this day onwards, we all would plant a sapling in our houses. People of Durg district have always actively participated in the works of public interest. Plantation is one such noble work. The more we plant trees, the better we preserve nature. When we plant saplings in our homes, it would be easier for us to nourish them.

Chief Minister requested people of the district in his letter to plant at least one sapling in their homes and nurture it, and also encourage neighbours and friends to do the same. On the occasion, drumstick saplings would be planted on a large-scale in schools, ashram-hostels and aanganbadi centers, towards the goal of making malnutrition-free Durg. Mr. Baghel has expressed home that people of the district with enthusiastically take part in One Home One Tree Campaign, as leap towards realizing the vision of ‘Hariyar Durg’.
