Chief Minister Shri Bhupesh Baghel has greeted the people of the state, especially the followers of Jainism, on the occasion of Paryushan festival. On this occasion, he said that Paryushan festival is an important festival of Jain society. It gives an opportunity to develop self-purification, restraint, renunciation and self-consciousness. This festival teaches to follow the path of non-violence, kindness and love. It is believed that Lord Mahavir gave his teachings during this festival and propounded the main principles of Jainism.
